A bit about me: I’m 39 years old and from Northwest Indiana. I studied film at Columbia College Chicago School of Arts, driven by a dream of becoming a film director. Creativity has always been in my blood, but after realizing that success in film meant moving away from my family—something very important to me—I chose a different path. I joined our family business in 2009, where I found success , but not fulfillment. I knew I couldn’t reach my full potential doing something that wasn’t in my heart.

During these years, my passion for fitness grew stronger. It became clear that my true calling was in fitness and helping others achieve their lifestyle goals. After years of dedication, I earned my professional status in natural bodybuilding and made my way to winning multiple pro shows. My ultimate dream was to share this knowledge with others, and I’ve been fortunate enough to work with clients both nationally and internationally, doing what I love.

I’m here to share my passion and knowledge of health and fitness, guiding and teaching you every step of the way. I look forward to helping you reach your fitness goals.

    I have always been very petite. Always underweight. Always treated like the baby, like at any moment I would break. I got tired of people looking down on me and treating me like I was sick. As if it was my fault that my genes made me the way I am. Despite being so small my whole life I was always very healthy, with quite an appetite. And I got to a point that if I heard one more person tell me to eat a sandwich (when in reality I could eat them all under the table) I thought I would going to lose it. And then the car accident happened. I was hit by a truck from behind while stopped in traffic on the highway. He hit me so hard, he smashed my car into the truck in front of me and I was unable to get out of my vehicle. If it weren’t for my seatbelt and airbags I could have been in much worse shape than I was. When I was riding in the passenger side of the new car and realized that the airbag was turned off due to not enough weight in the seat, I knew it was time for a change. I knew I had to do whatever it took to put some weight on in a healthy way. Then I tried some weights and I quickly started to get some shape to me, but still wasn’t quite sure what I was doing. And then came Mikey!!! My savior. He helped me to set goals and reach them. Within a week of working with him I could see and feel a huge difference in myself. He was able to guide me through my workouts, give me a plan that worked, and support me through it. He checks in with me and encourages me, always pushing me to do a little more weight, go for a little bit longer, and try a little bit harder. I’ve come a long way and have quite a ways to go but I couldn’t have gotten where I am with him. I can’t wait to continue on my fitness journey and see just how far I can get!!

      Mikey and the Mind & Matter Lifestyle has helped me tremendously. Prior to working with him, the only way that I knew how to lose weight was by eating an unhealthy amount of calories and do a lot of cardio. I would lose a lot of weight initially, and then I would just be stuck. It also didn’t take me very long to gain that weight right back after a few binges.           As a long time endurance athlete, I never understood why working out longer and harder didn’t allow me to burn fat and lean out.             Amazing…this is the only word that comes to my mind when thinking of the whole mind and matter lifestyle that Mikey has put together in this program. With consistency and the right mind set of making this a lifestyle change it will work for ANYONE.
